St. George pushes the boundaries and introduces world class art in the hotel. A work from Ai WeiWei will open the experience at the hotel gallery.

Wintergarden, under the glass roof in the middle of the building, Wintergarden is the heart of Hotel St. George with its world of colors, patterns and motives, an inspirational and recreational meeting place for locals and visitors alike.

The banquet hall is a total experience like nature, where absurd elements meet wild beauty. The Wintergarden’s three salons are perfect for dinners and meetings. Nooks, small corner rooms, invite to informal gatherings with friends and family.

These private and intimate chambers are perfect for short stays. Soft mint green and pearl grey tones create a calm ambiance, while abstract art energises and balances the building’s classic architecture. Sky Attic Studios are the gems of Hotel St. George. Located on the top floor, their windows open to the sky and the Old Church Park, overlooking the rooftops of Helsinki. Sky Attic Studios offer a unique and modern atmosphere.

Atelier rooms are the pinnacle of international style and elegance. The colour palettes and atmosphere of the Atelier rooms create one of the most mesmerising experiences at St. George. Rooms are located on the Yrjönkatu street side, overlooking the Old Church Park.

These beautiful rooms include a private balcony overlooking the Old Church Park, where guests can savour Helsinki’s wonderful sunsets and sunrises. St. George Suite has been designed for moments to remember. With a stunning balcony overlooking the Old Church Park and its surrounding art galleries, it showcases the building’s breath-taking period architecture at its best. The St. George suite (94,5 sqm), located on the 3rd floor, is the uncontested crown jewel of the hotel.

The suite can be connected to the Atelier rooms.

Restaurant Andrea is created by celebrated chef duo Mehmet Gürs and Antto Melasniemi.

Andrea is an independently oparated restaurant with its own concept, look and feel. A restaurant in its own right and with its own identity. Andrea is about fun-dining rather than fine-dining. The international, tasty menu is based on brilliant ingredients combined with its creators’ passion and perceptions of food.

Mehmet Gürs is a superstar in the restaurant scene of Turkey. His restaurant, Mikla, has been listed as one of the 50 best restaurants in the world. In Turkey, Gürs’s family company has founded a total of 14 restaurants, three coffee shops and a coffee roastery. He has also had his own cooking program on television. Gürs, born in Tammisaari, Finland, grew up in Stockholm, studied in the United States, and has lived his adult life in Istanbul.

He takes pride in sourcing supplies for his restaurants from small local producers, with the help of the company’s dedicated food anthropologist.

Antto Melasniemi is a food industry visionary and restaurateur known for his three successful Helsinki restaurants: Kuurna, Ateljee Finne and Putte’s. Melasniemi, the ex-keyboardist of the band HIM, has been an ambassador for Finnish food culture abroad – for example, cooking with solar panels in Milan.

He’s also been involved in promoting Finnish art and design in London and Stockholm with his ground-breaking HEL YES restaurant. What’s more, Melasniemi has helped turn Helsinki’s Flow Festival into unique culinary music event.

Hotel St. George is designed to support a holistic concept of wellbeing. The street-level spa with an indoor pool, sauna and relaxation area offers a moment to take a breath and rest. St. George Care in co-operation with the best providers in the city, will provide personal training services, wellbeing programs and counselling on nutrition and physical activity.
