4 x moments with mother

A mother is not a person to lean on
but a person to make leaning unnessary.
Dorothy Canfield Fisher

The second Sunday in May is dedicated to our beloved mothers. Mother's Day is an important day that provides an opportunity to show love and gratitude to mothers and to remind them of the important role they play in families and society.

St. George is happy to help children and spouses show their appreciation for their mothers and grandmothers with a variety of gifts and thoughtful remembrances - see below our four ideas for an unforgettable gift of experiences through moments together.

St. George Moment 1: Wellbeing & pampering with massages and treatments

Surprise mom with a wonderful relaxing moment at St. George Care spa in the heart of the city.

At St. George Care, we believe in holistic wellbeing. We understand how the complex mind-body connection works and use our understanding in our massages.

St. George Care's face and body treatments are based on two product lines inspired by the forces of nature: the Hungarian skincare line Omorovicza and our newest line, the Californian Natureofthings. St. George Care's Restorative Hand Bar invites you to experience how a traditional manicure becomes a complete pampering experience.

Also new for spring, we recommend you try out our new sauna yoga on 26 May. After a relaxing yoga class and spa session, you can also stay for breakfast at St George's with your mother. Sauna yoga is available in our gift card shop.

St. George Moment 2: Dinner at Boon Nam restaurant

Our partner restaurant Boon Nam will be serving the popular Menu Boon Nam for dinner on Sunday 14 May in celebration of Mother's Day. The inspiration for the seasonally changing menu is always authentically sourced directly from Thailand, where Boon Nam's rich flavours come from. There is no shortage of ideas, as Thai cuisine is endlessly colourful and nuanced.

Read more about Boon Nam's story and book a table.

St. George Moment 3: Weekend getaway in Helsinki with your mother

Combine a stay in a hotel with an easy experience by getting a Staycation package as a gift, which includes a night in our beautiful room, a buffet breakfast and one of the following experiences:

* A pampering champagne breakfast with your loved one
* Dinner at Boon Nam restaurant
* Two treatments at St. George Care spa
* Tickets to Kiasma and the Tom of Finland exhibition publication

You can also find accommodation gift vouchers in the St. George's gift card shop.

St. George Moment 4: Art museum tour and coffee with mum

When you stay at the Hotel St. George, you'll get an Art Card voucher that gives you access to eight art museums in the capital region at a 20% discount on the ticket price. Head to Kiasma, Design Museum, HAM, Taidehalli, Finnish Museums of Photography or WeeGee and EMMA in Espoo Tapiola.

After the art tour, you're sure to enjoy a cup of coffee at St. George Bakery. Every morning, the shelves of our own bakery-café are filled with freshly baked pastries, sourdough breads and other delicacies. Come and try our most popular baked goods and seasonal specials.
